The rules for using this site
Short version: watch the videos, read the pages, follow the links, email about a lost item. Don't copy the videos or artwork, don't attack the site, and understand that a metal detector search is never a guarantee.
1. Who runs this site, and what agreeing means
This site is operated by Daniel, the creator of Monterey Magnet Man (“we”, “us”). Using the site means you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site.
These terms work alongside the privacy and legal page, which explains what the site does and does not collect.
2. What this site is
It is a place to find the channel's videos, read about the beach recovery service, and reach the social accounts. There is no account to create, nothing to buy, and no checkout.
The videos are hosted by Rumble and play inside Rumble's own player. Once you press play you are also using Rumble's service, under Rumble's terms and privacy policy. The same goes for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Linktree, Amazon, PayPal, Venmo and Cash App — following a link takes you onto someone else's service, and what happens there is between you and them.
3. Lost item recovery
The recovery section is an invitation to get in touch. Sending an email, and getting a reply, does not by itself create an agreement to search — the details of any actual search, including when and where it happens and what it costs, are settled directly between you and Daniel before anything starts.
Metal detecting finds things or it doesn't. Nothing on this site is a promise that a lost item will be located, that it will be intact, or that a search can happen within any particular timeframe. Tides, weather, how long the item has been down, what it is made of and where the search is permitted all decide the outcome.
Searches happen only where detecting is lawful and permitted. If a location needs a permit, a property owner's permission, or is closed to detecting, the search doesn't happen there.
4. Tips
Tips through PayPal, Venmo or Cash App are voluntary personal gifts. They buy no goods, no services and no priority, they are not tax-deductible charitable donations, and they are not refundable through this site — the payment is handled entirely by that company under its own terms. Every video stays free to watch either way.
5. Affiliate links
The Amazon link is an Amazon Associates storefront link, and a purchase made after following it may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is set out in full on the privacy and legal page. It does not change what gets recommended.
6. The content belongs to Daniel
The videos, thumbnails, logo, photographs, text and design of this site are owned by Daniel or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You may watch, link to and share links. You may not copy, re-upload, re-host, sell, or make derivative versions of the videos or artwork without written permission, and you may not strip the player, scrape the video files, or present the content as your own.
Rumble, Linktree, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and Amazon are the trademarks of their respective owners and are named here only to say where the content lives. This site is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
If you believe something here infringes your rights, the copyright contact is on the privacy and legal page and it will be looked into promptly.
7. What you may not do here
Don't try to break into, overload, probe or disrupt the site or the systems behind it. Don't scrape it at a volume that degrades it for anyone else, and don't harvest the contact address for bulk or automated messaging. Don't frame or mirror the site so that it looks like yours, and don't use the name or logo in a way that suggests a partnership or endorsement that doesn't exist.
If you do find a security problem, please report it rather than exploiting it — the contact page says how.
8. The site is provided as it is
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information on it is complete or current. Nothing on this site is professional advice.
9. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of an item, arising out of your use of this site or of any third-party service reached from it. Our total liability relating to this site will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
Some states, California included, do not allow certain limitations, and nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, willful injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
10. Changes
These terms can change — if the site adds anything that needs new rules, this page gets updated first and the date below changes with it. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Monterey County, California. Nothing here takes away a right you have under California's consumer protection laws.
